Hope Given By Stanford is the first HGB chapter and was started in January of 2019.

At HGB we believe that the first steps towards a solution to homelessness are to address the immediate needs of the homeless and build relationships through community-wide personal giving. HGB Stanford embraces this idea.

From January to April 2019, with the help of Stanford Housing Justice and Stanford Football, the HGB Stanford team was able to serve and connect with more than a thousand members of the homeless community of the Tenderloin, San Francisco; distributing socks from Bombas and clothing and shoes donated by the Stanford Football team.

Looking ahead, Hope Given By aims to significantly raise the standard of living for every homeless San Franciscan by personally delivering much needed items such as socks, gloves, ponchos, shoes, coats, food and water.

Above all, our goal is to foster a longterm relationship between Stanford University students and San Francisco's homeless population.
